Wilma Fulk Obituary

Wilma Jean Fulk (95) left her earthly home on November 29th, 2025 to be with Jesus. She passed away peacefully at her residence at Lutheran Care Village in Ashland. Born on April 28th, 1930 to the late Leo and Carrie (Bally) Hartman.

She lived a life rich in farmsense, was a devoted mother and lived out her faith. She grew up attending a one room school in Ashland and her father was a school teacher. She was a graduate of the class of 1948 at Ashland Highschool. After graduation she worked at the Ohio Edison Electric Company in Ashland. Later she worked at the Wooster Daily Record as an executive secretary and retired from there.

With her involvement in 4-H as a youth, she went on to be an advisor and was in Rural Youth where she met and then married Elmer L. Clifford. They started a family and were an active part of the community. They enjoyed 10 short years together before his death in 1965. She then dedicated her life to raising their two daughters Deborah Acker (Max) and Cynthia Zimmerly. After being widowed for 29 years, she met and married Raymond Fulk with whom she spent 27 years until his passing in March 2023.

She was an active lifetime member of the Methodist faith as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer and many activities in New Pittsburg Methodist Church, later attending Steam Corner's Methodist Church in Lexington.

She had a special fondness for nature, birdwatching, gardening and later porch sitting with her favorite barn cats. She shared a close bond with her four sisters, Fern, Lavonne, Gladys and Mildred.

She is survived by her sister Mildred Justice (Kenneth) of Hilliard, grandchildren Ara Tabor (Jeremy), Julia Glass (Brandon) and six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and step children Debra Teaters, Steven Fulk, Randall Fulk and Diana Sipes.

Wilma was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Fern Boyer (Chester), Lavonne Gault (Earl), Gladys Hartman, infant granddaughter Abigail Acker and grandson Rhett Clifford Acker (survived by Lisa Broome) and son in law Howard Zimmerly.
