Wayne Floyd Hawks Obituary

Wayne Floyd Hawks has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 9, 2021.


He was born March 12, 1944 to Odis and Maybelle (Puster) Hawks of Hayesville. He graduated in


1962 from Hayesville High School. He began working at Hydromantic Pumps in March of 1962,


retiring from there after 47 years in February 2008. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church of


Ashland for many years where he was involved with the Boys Brigade and served as head usher. Then


in 2001 he became a member of Wooster Grace Brethren Church and was ushering there up until his


passing. Wayne was passionate about taking photos of his family, friends and kids of the Hillsdale


community.


Wayne became Hillsdale’s #1 fan through the years and captured the hearts of many throughout the


community with his personality, generosity and chocolate chip cookies. Wayne was an avid walker,


walking 5 miles a day around the track or around the hallways of Wooster Grace Brethren. He enjoyed


going to the Barn Restaurant after church feeding the fish and ducks at the pond. He enjoyed making


chocolate chip cookies and sharing them with everyone.


He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Allenbaugh (Robert Aylsworth), Robin Hawks (Jason


Croskey), Jennifer Scott (Rick Scott); 7 grandchildren Mallory Constance (Michael), Elizabeth


Allenbaugh, Logan Allenbaugh (Lexi Surgener), Jacob Hawks (Pete and Maxine), Jadyne Hawks


(Brandon Weaver), Cole Scott, Corena Scott; 6 great-grandchildren Cheyann Constance, Dakota


Constance, Makz Constance, Montana Constance, Madax Constance and Amala Marshall; brother


Eddie Hawks, sister in law Catherine Hawks; Numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rodney Hawks and sister Nancy Nebergall.


Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Wooster Grace Brethren Church with


Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery.


There will be no calling hours.
