Walter Shannon Jarvis Obituary

Walter Shannon Jarvis, 93 formerly of Ashland passed away Tuesday November 16,


2021 at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home in Waco, TX. He was born April 28, 1928 in


Ashland Co. the son of Harold W. and Florence Simms Jarvis. He was a U.S. Army


veteran of the Korean War. Walter was a steel worker for Empire Detroit Steel and


was a member of the Lakefork United Methodist Church.


He is survived by two daughters, Patsy (Chuck) Simons of Hudson, OH and Denise


(Dr. Andrew) Cunningham of Waco, Texas, two sons, Mark (Debra) Jarvis of Waco,


Texas and Michael Jarvis of Ashland, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren


and a sister, Norma Lindeman of Springfield, OH.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marjorie Harper Jarvis, and three brothers, James


Jarvis, Robert Jarvis and Merle Jarvis.


Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday November 27, 2021 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with


Pastor Layton Broome officiating. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park where the Ashland


County Color Guard with conduct military rites.


Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
