Susan R. (Funk) Selvage

“Together Again”

Susan R. Selvage, 86 of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly on Friday February 13, 2026. She was

born on November 12, 1939 in Ashland County the daughter of Paul A. and Marsha Foss Funk. She

was a member of the first graduating class from the new school building at Northwestern High School

and went to Columbus to watch the State Championship baseball game.

Susan was married to Billy Selvage on December 19, 1960 at her parents farm in front of their

Christmas tree. She worked on the family farm helping with chores and baking with her mother, and

she also worked at Wooster Brush for 20 years. Susan enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, the

Guardians, watching The Voice, traveling to grandchildren’s sporting events and making trips to

Kentucky. She enjoyed doing other things for people, was very proud of her grandchildren and great

grandchildren and looked forward to every holiday with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Becki (Brad) Buckingham and Cindee (Larry) Bellman, four

grandchildren, Kevin Bellman, Staci (Matay) Tessmer, Blake (Katelyn) Bellman and Nick (Cortney)

Buckingham, three great granddaughters, Paisley and Oakley Bellman and Mari Tessmer as well as one

on the way, and a sister, Shirley Gilbert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Selvage a son, Rusty Selvage, three

sisters, Maxine, Polly and Vera and three brothers, Marshall, Wayne and Larry.

Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday February 19, 2026 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be in Reedsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
