Susan Allene Kidwell, 79 of Ashland, passed away Tuesday January 2, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Susan was born November 4, 1944, the daugher of Robert and Naomi (Dessenberg) Howman. Sister of Judy (Charles) Morehead and Hazel Howman. Susan lived her entire life in Ashland where she had been married to Westley Kidwell for 30 years. Susan worked for Cleveland Avenue Market for over 25 years until her retirement at the age of 74. During her free time Susan loved to garden, mushroom hunt in the spring, go to garage sales, auctions, loved to go truck driving with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.

Susan will be deeply missed by her children, Tammy Barker of Ashland, Denise (Scott) Bloemen of Mansfield, Jamie (Elaine) Rogers of Colorado, 5 grandchildren, Christina Henry, Jennifer Barker, Brandon Barker, Shawn Rogers, Shelby Bloemen and 1 great granddaughter, Serenity Petry.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Westley, granddaughter, Christina, sister, Hazel and son-in-law, Larry.

The family would like to thank everyone who loved and cared for Susan.

As per Susan’s wishes there will be no services.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
