Stanley Leon Meng, 91 of Jeromesville passed away Thursday August 6, 2020 at the Good Shepherd
Nursing Home in Ashland. He was born November 24, 1928 in Ashland Co. the son of Clarence and
Minnie Lucas Meng. He was a line inspector at the Bud Company and also had worked at Hydromatic
Pump, Mansfield Tire and Woodword Govenor in Fort Collins Colorado. Stanley attended Truth
Baptist, Vermillion Baptist and was a charter member of Marantha Baptist, serving the Lord as an
Elder. His hobby woodworking, having built 3 houses.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Austen Meng, to whom he was married June 24, 1949, two
daughters, Sandra (John) O’Brien of South Carolina and Janet (Gary) Jobe of Muskogee, OK, 5
grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a brother, Jerry (Mary Ann) Meng of Jeromesville and Shirley
Burrell of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lynda Bartram, a brother, Earl Meng and three
sisters, Pauline Eggerton, Maxine Smith and Ruth Markel.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday August 11, 2020 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with
son-in-law, Gary Jobe officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
