Samuel Reinhart Bartley

Samuel Reinhart Bartley, 92 of Ashland passed away Tuesday July 18, 2023 at The Inn

at Ashland Woods.  He was born December 15, 1930 in Ashland County

the son of Alfred and Fern Reinhart Bartley.

He was U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.  Samuel worked at Mansfield Tire and

retired from Garbers.  He was a member of the Paradise Hill Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Lynne Ann (Jason) Eddy of Lucas, a son, Eric (Melisa)

Bartley of Ashland, two grandchildren, Alex Eddy and Allison Eddy, two great

grandchildren, Haley Eddy and Sophia Reed, a brother, Hershel (Virginia) Bartley of Ashland,

a sister-in-law, Betty Bartley of Polk and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joan Bartley, 5 brothers, Francis, Robert,

Clayton, Leroy and Calvin Bartley, and 3 sisters, Martha Hamilton, Margaret Truex and Katherine Dillon.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday July 24, 2023 at Paradise Hill Church with Rev. Jon Heavilin officiating. 

Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery where military rites will be observed.

Friends may call Sunday July 23, 2023 from 5-7 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to Wounded Warriors.
