Ruth Elizabeth (Frank) Weaver

Ruth Elizabeth Weaver passed away on January 15, 2025 at UH Samaritan Medical Center.

Ruth was born at home on August 27, 1942, in Loudonville, Ohio to Richard and Martha (Doll) Frank. She was a graduate of the Loudonville High School Class of 1960.

Ruth married Richard Weaver October 23, 1966, and raised 4 children. She previously worked for the Trinity Community Church, Ashland County Home, Loudonville Nursing Home, and Kettering Hospital.

Ruth enjoyed spending time with friends in the Big Run Women’s Club, the Loudonville Free Store, and the Loudonville Church Women. She was the treasurer for the Ashland County Homemakers. She enjoyed volunteering at church activities and assisting with Food Bank activities. She was a life-long member of Trinity Community Church.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and puzzles. She loved to play cards with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking pies for her family members.

Ruth is preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Wolfe and brothers-in-law Robert Wolfe, William Weaver, William Hecht and Walter Steigerwalt.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Laura Hecht (Huntsville, TX), Robert and Roberta Weaver (Hayesville, OH), Peg Weaver (Hayesville, OH), and Betty Steigerwalt. Daughters Brenda (Michael) Colvin and Michele (Steve) Scanio of Spring, TX, Susan Weaver (Jeromesville, OH) and son, Kenneth Weaver of Loudonville, OH. She was greatly blessed with 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday January 24, 2025 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor John Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Jeromesville Cemetery.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral Home.
