Ruth Ann Donelson

Ruth Ann Donelson, 90 formerly of Ashland passed away Wednesday June 17, 2020 at Jefferson Health

and Rehab in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born July 23, 1929 in Nankin the daughter of Eugene Paul

and Margaret Luella Crowell Ford. Ruth Ann was known as the Cake Lady in Ashland for her

beautiful cakes and decorated cookies she created for many people’s weddings, birthdays and holidays.

She was also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where she participated and contributed

to the Willing Workers Women’s Group of the church.

She is survived by a daughter, DeeAnn Sechrist of Louisville, KY, a son, Brian Donelson of Butler, PA

10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Marjorie Baker of Ashland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale Miller Donelson in 1972, two brothers,

Leon Ford and David Ford, and a sister, Dorothy McBride.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday July 1, 2020 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Tom Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
