Ronald D. Kreiling, 83, peacefully passed away December 25, 2022 at his
Jeromesville farmhouse where he was born and lived his entire life. He was born December 15, 1939,
the son of Bryan and Bessie (Kenwell) Kreiling. He was a 1959 graduate of Jeromesville School. Ron
married Katherine (Read) in 1958 and had two daughters, Cindy (Bob) Kerr of Ashland; Ronnita (Pat)
Norval of Northville, MI.; and one grandson and daughter-in-law Bryan Kerr (Anya Voskresensky).
Twenty-five years ago on July 5, 1997, Ron married Betty (Provoznik) on the farm. Besides many
years of dairy farming, he had a career as a heavy equipment operator working for several companies
including W.T. McKee Construction of Shreve, and retired from GRT Utilicorp of Wooster. His hobbies
were welding, bodywork, and sandblasting, with his favorite hobby being his love of horses which
started with his first pony as a young child. Over the years he spent many weekends barrel racing at the
Wayne Co. Saddle Club & NBHA with his Quarter Horses. In his younger years he was a member of
the U.S. Army Reserves, and a Mohican Twp. Trustee. He was also a member of Amvets, United
Community Club Schoolhouse and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New Pittsburg. He thoroughly
enjoyed his stepchildren and their families of which he made many memories. He is survived by his
wife Betty, his daughters and their families, as well as his stepchildren: Ken (Maria) Provoznik; Andy
(Lois) Provoznik; Tina (Ivan) Roberts; Cora Gilbert; Elaine (Chris) Colvin; Danny (Shirley)
Provoznik; Sandy Provoznik; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. His
beloved dog Joy whom he called “Bud” will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his sister Jane
Hider, a stepson Patrick Provoznik, a stepson-in- law Phil Gilbert, a step-grandson, and a step-great-
grandson.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday December 29, 2022 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with
Stan Bosler officiating. Burial to follow at Reedsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-7 pm on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
