Ronald Eugene Kanzig, 72 of Jeromesville passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born March 9, 1949, in Barnesville--the son of Starling and Carolyn Blake Kanzig. He was a 1967 graduate of Hillsdale High School and a proud U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran. He worked his entire life in the automotive industry across Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, and New Jersey but truly found his calling after retirement and moving back to his home state. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Perrone Kanzig to whom he was married April 20, 2013; 4 children: Larry (Angela) Kanzig, Bryan (Pam) Kanzig, Keri (Nick) Blace, and Kristi (Daniel) Ochoa; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Herb (Cathy) Kanzig of Ashland, Ralph (Helen) Kanzig of Loudonville, Randy Kanzig of Stoneville, NC, and Robert (Cindy) Kanzig of Perrysville, a sister, Sue (Steve) Clark of Ashland; a brother-in-law, Edward Perrone; and countless restored hot rods.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Debbie Kanzig.
