Raymond Earl Flickinger, 92 of Loudonville passed away Thursday April 29, 2021 at The Good
Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born December 16, 1928 in Ashland Co. the son of Herb and Maude
Budd Flickinger. Raymond was a graduate of Wooster High School.
He will be remembered as an ornery, kind, hardworking, devoted man who thoroughly enjoyed anyone
walking thru his door, especially when he could stir the pot, or they were bringing him a fresh baked
pie.
He was a lifelong farmer and in his later years, farmed from his comfy chair in the living room looking
out the window or making his rounds on the gator to supervise.
He will also be remembered for his photogenic memory and could calculate in his head before the
younger generation could pull out their cell phone to do the math.
He is survived by 4 children, Cheri (Kevin) Wolf of Lakeville, Debra (Doug) Miller of Jeromesville,
Cindi Potter of Ashland, and Ron (Nanette) Flickinger of Jeromesville, 16 grandchildren, 45 great
grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Deb Flickinger of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beulah Harris Flickinger, two sons, Mike and Rod, 2
grandsons, and 2 granddaughters.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday May 3, 2021 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor
Layton Broome officiating. Burial will be in Lakefork Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday May 2, 2021 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home or one hour prior to the service
on Monday.
