Ralph Shaffer

Ralph Shaffer, 94 of Blachleyville passed away Saturday March 28, 2026 at his residence. He was

born in Painesville, OH to Shirley Arlene Shaffer on January 25, 1932. He was been a resident of

Wayne County since age 5. He married Miriam Ruth Miller in 1955, she preceded him in death in

2000. He retired from Wooster Brush Company in 1996. Ralph served in the U.S. Marine Corps

during the Korean War and was a member of the West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster. He was a member

of the Garfield Masonic Lodge #528 in Shreve, a member of the Chapter Council Commandry of

Wooster, a member of the 32 Degree A.A.S.R. of Canton, a member of Al Karan Shrine of Cleveland, a

member of Ohio Order Eastern Star Shreve Chapter #496, and a member of the American Legion Post

#68 of Wooster.

He is survived by his second wife, Judy Dye Shaffer.

Ralph was preceded in death by his first wife, Miriam, 3 half sisters and a half brother.

Services will be 12:00 PM Friday April 3, 2026 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville Pastor Dan

Wingate officiating. Burial will follow in Apple Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home before the service.
