Phillip Burke Obituary

Phillip Burke was born in Brainard, Minnesota to Leonard and Juletta Burke on November 19, 1934.


He grew up in Moline, Illinois where he was a Scout Master, Youth Leader and Sunday School teacher


for many years. He was Manager of Engineered Systems at Hydromatic Pump Company in Ashland,


Ohio where he served as an assistant scout master and helped in 4H. He retired from Black and Veatch


Consulting Engineers in Kansas City, MO. He enjoyed spending time with his much loved family and


creating woodworking gifts for his great grandchildren and family.


He will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Jeanine Burke, his daughter and husband, Kim and Ron Ross, 


oldest son and wife, Eric and Kim Burke, his grandson, Jarrod (Hali Chapman) Ross, great grandchildren,


Taylor Shopbell, Tage Ross, Tesalynn Ross, RJ Truman, Juliana and Gabby Chapman, sisters Katie McRae,


Donna Kimbell, brother Edward (Velma) Burke, brother-in-law Ronald (Alice) Lyons, sisters-in-law Linda Stein,


Marsha Peterson, Nancy (Mark) Stevens and many well loved nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, parents Leonard and Juletta Burke, parents-in-


law, Roy and Lorene Lyons, brother Jim Burke, brothers-in-law Don Stein, Jim Peterson, Gene Cramm,


Don Kimbell, sister-in-law Lois Burke and nephew, Steven Burke.


Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday January 16, 2020 at Fickes Funeral Home with Trudy Bates


officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Nankin


Cemetery.
