LAKEVILLE - Marvin Young, 91, of Lakeville died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home


in Loudonville.


Marvin was born on October 23, 1929, in Lakeville, to the late Ralph and Mary Lela (Warnes) Young, and graduated


from Lakeville High School in 1947.  He was self-employed as a dairy farmer, and was a former bus driver for


Big Prairie-Lakeville schools.


As an Army veteran, Marvin served in Korea in the Signal Core, where he was a switchboard operator.  He was a lifelong


member of St. John Lutheran Church in McZena.  Marvin enjoyed antique farm machinery and had served as a past


4-H advisor.  He was an avid basketball fan.


Marvin married Julia Jacobs on July 15, 1961.  She preceded him in death.  Surviving are a daughter, Andrea Young


of Loudonville, sons Brent and Brian Young, both of Lakeville and brother Larry (Pat) Young of Millersburg.  He was


preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Leland Young.  


A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Pioneer Cemetery,


with Pastor Angel Jackson officiating.  Fickes Funeral Home, Jeromesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
