Marvin Leon McQuate

Marvin Leon McQuate, 79 formerly of the Polk area, died Friday

February 15, 2019 at Brethren Care Nursing Home.  He was born

April 9, 1939 in Ashland Co. the son of Marshall and Drucilla

Kiser McQuate.  He was a 1958 graduate of Polk High School.  

Marvin was a self-employed contractor and a member of the Park

Street Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Hootman McQuate, to whom he was married September 10, 1957,

of Ashland, four children, Kevin (Mindy) McQuate of Ashland, Julie (James) Ringler of Greenwich,

Lisa (Steve) McPherson of Bluffton, S.C. and Daniel (Kim) McQuate of West Salem,

10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a sister, Janet Vaughn of Polk.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Jane Fisher and Jody Puffinbarger.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday February 19, 2019 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Nate Bebout officiating.  Burial will be in Red Haw cemetery.

Friends may call Monday February 18, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
