Lowell Eugene McFarlin Obituary

Lowell Eugene McFarlin, 98 of Jeromesville passed away Wednesday October 19, 2022.


He was born August 19, 1924 in Hayesville the son of Lewis and Esther Prather


McFarlin. Lowell, along with three of his brothers, Bob, Lee and Stanley, served their


country during World War II. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the 69th Infantry Artillary


Division. He was a furniture upholsterer for over 70 years and a 80 year member of the


Jeromesville United Methodist Church where he served in all positions of the church.


Lowell was a 68 year member of the Jeromesville Lions Club, where he had perfect


attendence and played golf till he was 96 years old.


He is survived by his wife, Marjorie McQuate McFarlin, to whom he was married June 4, 1948, two


daughters, Nancy Lee Kline of Jeromesville and Debra Elaine (Russell) Schoonover of Ashland, 4


grandchildren, Natalie Pickett, Jessica Deubner, Aaron Kline and Zack Schoonover, 5 great


grandchildren and a sister-in-law, June McFarlin.


He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Byron, Bob, Bill, Lee and Stanley McFarlin,


two sisters, Elizabeth Ohley and Mary Louise Gnagy, and a brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and


Louella McQuate.


Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday October 22, 2022 at Jeromesville United Methodist Church with


Pastors Layton Broome and Sue Chidley officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery where


Ashland Honor Guard will conduct military rites.


Friends may call Friday October 21, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
