Lester Irvin Young

Lester Irvin Young, 93 formerly of Mohicanville passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020 at Lutheran

Village in Ashland. He was born June 15, 1926 in Hayesville the son of Ralph and Irene Dove Young.

Lester was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in Germany. Lester was a maintenance

supervisor at Hedstrom for 37 years and was a life long resident of Ashland County. He was a member

of the Mohicanville Community Church.

He is survived by two sons, Robert (Nancy) Young of Hayesville and Dennis (Priscilla) Young of

Ashland, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three brothers, Roger, Ed and Rich Young and a

sister, Mary Richards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and his wife of 70 years, Hilda Blair

Young in 2018.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday February 15, 2020 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Rev. Sue Chidley officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery where the Ashland Honor Guard

will conduct military rites.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
