Larry Dean Funk

Larry Dean Funk, 74 passed away unexpectedly Saturday August 3, 2024. He was born June 23, 1950

in Ashland County the son of William Robert and Harriet Smith Funk. He was a 1968 graduate of

Hillsdale High School and was an operating engineer, working 30 years for RG Beer and 10 years for

Bogner Construction. He was a lifetime member of Local 18 of the Operating Engineers. Larry

enjoyed restoring John Deere tractors, going to tractor shows and camping. He was dearly loved by his

family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Alexander Funk, to whom he was married March 8, 1986, a step-

daughter, Robin Beheydt of Cuyahoga Falls, a step-son, Brian (Donna) Beheydt of Norton, 5 grandchildren and

a brother, Gregg (Cindy) Funk of Jeromesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
