Larry D. Miller

Larry D. Miller, 79 passed and is now with our Heavenly Father. He drifted off on October
27th, 2019. His spirit was released from his body and he is now communing with his
daughter Amy, who proceeded him in death. To be absent from body, is to be present with the
Lord! In his passing, Larry was surrounded by his family, and they will miss him greatly.
He was born November 18, 1939 in Ashland Co. the son of Richard Eugene and Mary Jane
Brandt Miller.
Larry always considered Rowsburg his home and had many fond memories growing up in the
area. After graduating high school, Larry worked for both Hydromatic and Myers Pump. In
1980 Larry had the opportunity to open his own advertising and insurance agency.
He was owner/operator of L.D. Miller Insurance Agency in Ashland.
He loved meeting new people and working in his agency. He was still working up until a few
weeks ago.
Larry was a 1957 graduate of Ashland High School and was attending church at Brethren
Care Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Linda McDonald Miller, to whom he was married February 16,
1962, four children, Jeffrey (Ruth) Miller of Ashland, Tracy (Jim) Arthur of Lodi, John (Sherry)
Miller of Groveport and Jason (Sallie) Miller of Kokomo, IN, 10 grandchildren, 4 great
grandchildren,a sister, Kay (Howard) Smithhisler of Rowsburg, a brother, David (Bea) Miller of
Shepherdsville, KY and a brother-in-law, Bill Hastings of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Amy Jane Miller and a sister, Sharon
Hastings.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday November 2, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor John
Bouquet officiating. Private family burial will be at Rowsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 AM before the service Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church ministries.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
