Larry Kent Bantz

Larry Kent Bantz, 86, of Ashland passed away Wednesday December 31, 2025 at Brethren Care in

Ashland. He was born September 30, 1939 in Kent, OH the son of Rolla and Lola Childs Bantz. He

was a graduate of Ruggles Troy High School and was a Custodian for the Ashland County Court

House. Larry collected Antique Tractors and enjoyed camping and going to the Tri State Gas Engine

and Tractor Shows.

He is survived by his wife, Roma Smith Bantz, to whom he was married August 9, 1975, a son, Jerry

Bantz of Ashland, a daughter, Lisa (Dan) Wilfong of Ashland, three grandchildren, Lila Wilfong, Brett

Bantz and Andrew Bantz and a sister, Jo Ann Corn of Ashland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday January 3, 2026 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Layton Broome officiating. Burial will be in Nankin Cemetery.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
