Kevin Busch Obituary

Kevin Lynn Busch, 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, September 1, 2019.  He was born on March 16, 1958 to Larry and Margaret (Kruse) Busch in Napoleon, Ohio.

Kevin worked outdoors all his life, beginning his career working for his uncle at Dutchmen Construction in Napoleon and then moving to a job working for a road crew for Miller Bros Construction in Archbold, Ohio.  He relocated to Hayesville when he met and married Andi Helbert and currently was working for Kokosing Construction.
In addition to working outdoors, many of his favorite activities were outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping at an early age and continued these activities as he grew older.

Kevin was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan.  He liked to say he adopted this team just to be different from everyone else.  He took great pleasure in the rivalry with his family of Buckeye fans and you could always count on getting some football season phone calls from Kevin to further the rivalry.

Everyone that knew Kevin, knew him for two things:  his love for cooking and his big heart.  Kevin’s cooking skills were legendary with his friends and family.  Every family  holiday was celebrated by a wonderful dish from Kevin.  His family will fondly remember his prime rib at Christmas time.  Kevin was a big guy, but he needed to be to hold that huge heart of his.  He was the living example of what a father, son, brother, and uncle should be.  Kevin was both the foundation and the glue that kept his family together.  Every new birth or family success was met with a phone call from Kevin.  He constantly called to see how you were doing.  He wouldn’t accept any excuse for missing a family function and he made sure everyone enjoyed themselves.  Every story told about Kevin has shared one singular point- nobody had a bad thing to say about him.  He put others ahead of himself to a fault.  Kevin suffered personal tragedies yet still worried about everyone around him.

Kevin’s legacy and his memories will live on through his son, Trevor and his many nieces and nephews and the stories they tell of him with great fondness.

Kevin was preceded in death by his much missed son Logan, his sister Vicky, and his father Larry Busch.  Kevin is survived by his son Trevor, his former wife Andi Dalton and her husband Brian, his mother Margaret Busch, brothers Steve (Julie) Busch and Rick (Amy) Busch, and sister Kim Middleton.  His much loved nieces and nephews, Nate (Tiffany) Busch, Katie (Matt) Ludewig, Aleigh (Josh) Jewell, Christopher (Allison) Busch, Laura Busch, Michael Busch, Dalton Middleton, and Parker Middleton.  He is also survived by 10 great-nephews and nieces that he took great joy in. He is also survived by Bill and Sharlene Helbert and their son, Chad Helbert.   Kevin was fortunate to have them as his second family.

Kevin will be sadly missed and there will forever be an empty spot in our lives but all of us take great joy in knowing that he is with his son Logan again and we will see him again.
