Kenneth Lloyd Strine

Kenneth Lloyd Strine, 82 formerly of Ashland passed away Wednesday January 28,

2026 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.  He was born March 6, 1943 in

Ashland the son of Lloyd and Martha Echelberger Strine.  He was a 1961 graduate

of Hayesville High School, earned his Mechanical Engineering Degree from NCTC

in 1963 and his Applied Management Science Degree from Ashland College in 1974. 

Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard where he was a sergeant

first class of the 1486th Transportation Company, for 20 years, serving in Germany

in 1985 and 1987.  He worked for Empire-Detroit Steel, the Cyclops Corporation as a

metallurgist and Mohican Hills Golf Club.  He was an avid Ohio State fan.

He is survived by two daughters, Angie (Candy) Strine of Tiffin and Heather (Benjamin) Gilbert of

Medina, two grandchildren, Collin (Emily) Sigler and Makenna Sigler, and two sisters, Marcella

(Chuck) Daft of Port Clinton and Marla (Ron) Singer of Smithville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna Workman Strine.

Services will be 12:00 PM Thursday February 5, 2026 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Layton Broome officiating.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
