John Lewis Morehouse

John Lewis Morehouse, 92 of Hayesville passed away Friday April 28, 2023 at the Good Shepherd.

He was born November 25, 1930 in Holmes County the son of John F. and Elva Middaugh Morehouse.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of the Wooster 7th Day

Adventist Church. John was a machine operator for Rexroth and a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Franks Morehouse, to whom he was married September 28, 1952, five

children, Richard (Janice) Morehouse of Jeromesville, Ronald (Becky) Morehouse of Nashville, Becky

(Michael) Spotts of Jeromesville, Charlotte (Clint) Kelly of Shreve and Alice (Jim) Milligan of

Ashland, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Petry of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Seth Spotts, five sisters, Roselane Draper,

Dorothy Harris, Violet Mower, Jane Drenning and Marta Campbell, and two brothers, David

Morehouse and Kenneth Morehouse.

Private graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday May 10, 2023 at Reedsburg Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
