John Paul Dipzinski

John Paul Dipzinski, 82 of Wooster passed away Thursday June 18, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 11, 1938 in Gaylord, MI the son of Idelfons and Rose Matelski Dipzinski. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Marc) Gates of Wooster and Mary Lou Dipzinski of New Pittsburg, a granddaughter, Jordan Gates, a brother, Bernie (Jan) Dipzinski, a sister, Patricia Sides and a sister-in-law, Jane Dipzinski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dolores Rodacay Dipzinski, a son, John Steven Dipzinski, 6 brothers and 5 sisters-in-law, Claude (Lilian) Dipzinski, Edward (Jane) Dipzinski, Andy (Joanne) Dipzinski, Leonard (Margie) Dipzinski, Richard (Barb) Dipzinski and Ben Dipzinski, and 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude (Eugene) Obsinger, Marion (Leo) Butka and Roselin (Chuck) Hawley.

He was owner/operator of J.D. Concrete Sawing and was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wooster and American Legion Jeromesville Post #749. John was best known by his family and friends as a kind hearted, funny, and hard-working man. His radiant smile brought joy to any room he entered. His passions were gardening, spending time in his garage tinkering and inventing new things and attending auctions.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday June 27, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wooster with Father Steve Moran officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wooster.

Friends may attend calling hours Friday June 26, 2020 from 4-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.

In lieu of flowers; contributions may be given to St. Mary’s Church or The American Legion Jeromesville Post #749.
