ROWSBURG — James Michael “Mike” Humrichouser, 75, of Rowsburg passed away peacefully at home on
Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020. He was born Aug. 1, 1945 in Ashland to the late James and Helen (McQuate) Humrichouser.
Mike was a 1963 graduate of Ashland High School, where he lettered in several sports. He attended Ohio State
University and worked his entire career in printing preparation for several Ashland County printing businesses.
Mike served in the Ohio National Guard and was a member of the Ashland Elks 1360 and the American Legion Harry
Higgins Post 88 of Ashland.
Mike also played fast-pitch softball for many years for Red Haw and Rowsburg teams. He enjoyed traveling with
family and friends and spending time at his cabin at Spring Lake.
On April 20, 1969, Mike married Anne (Krumlaw) Humrichouser, who survives. Also surviving are his children,
Jamie (Jarred) Opatz of Wooster and Ben (Teresa) Humrichouser of Ashland; grandchildren, Evan and Seth
Opatz and Nathan and Mia Humrichouser; sisters, Sue (Jim) Norris of Ashland, Pat Kopp of Englewood; and
brother-in-law, Bill (Lucy) Krumlaw of Mansfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Carolyn Ann; and brothers-in-law,
Rob Kopp and Tom Krumlaw.
There will be a memorial service for Mike at Rowsburg Lutheran Church on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m.
Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
in Mike’s memory to Rowsburg Lutheran Church.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
