Jackson Benjamin Pennington, 88 of Ashland passed away Tuesday June 3, 2025 at Brethren Care. He
was born November 17, 1936 in Afton, Missouri the son of Jackson C. and Alice Schaffenberger
Pennington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving as a corporal. After his honorable
discharge from the Marines he worked at a gas station and at Ohio Bell as a linesman before ultimately
ending up working as an excellent finish carpenter. Jack loved boating, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Campbell Pennington to whom he was married December 18, 1993,
a daughter, Brenda Perotta, a son, Steve Pennington, five step-children, Beth Emery, Cindy Doran,
Tricia (Mike) Holtkamp, Heather (Mark) Vaught and Brandon (Julie) Wiser, 11 grandchildren and 2
great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Brett Pennington, three sisters, Shirley Cottnen,
Beverly Housh, Mary Van Winkle and a brother, Walter (Wally) Pennington.
Calling hours will be Wednesday June 11, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
