Ida Gwynnette (Garber) Becker

Ida Gwynnette Becker, 86 of Ashland passed away Monday July 5, 2021 at Brookwood Place in

Ashland. She was born June 13, 1935 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of William A. and Rosamond

Richards Garber. Gwynne worked at Ashland High School in the cafeteria and was a member of the

First Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by three daughters, Beth (Charles) Gerhart, Susan Becker and Julia (Steven) Rush, all

of Ashland, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Becker, a son, Douglas Becker and a

sister, Willima Garber Hayes.

Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday July 13, 2021 at Dickey Cemetery with Pastor Brian

Layman officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of Life for Richard and Gwynne will be held at The American Legion Post 88 1338

Claremont Ave. Ashland from 3:30-6:30 pm on Tuesday July 13th.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
