Howard Brooks Wile

Howard Brooks Wile passed away on July 4, 2025.   He was born to Welker & Irene McClaran Wile on February 11, 1932 in Millbrook, Ohio.  He married Oreta Hartsel on November 28, 1950.  Howard was 93 years young.

They raised 5 children Daniel (SueAnn Harrison) Wile of Arizona, Janice (Timothy) Burnison of Wooster, Sherri (Stephen) Thompson of Mansfield, Timothy (Christine) Wile of Wooster, and Scott (Candice) Wile of Shreve.  There are 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Howard retired from Akron Brass after 28 years.  He was a member of Parkview Christian Church.  Howard enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family & friends.   He spent many years supporting the Soap Box Derby as an inspector.

Howard was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Wilbur Wile, sister Twila Fath and his daughter Janice Burnison.

A celebration of life service will be at Parkview Christian Church on July 10th @ 12 noon with Pastors Jeremiah Scadden and Bobby Warren officiating.
