Howard Charles Russell, 82 of Jeromesville passed away Sunday March 8, 2020 at Kingston of
Ashland. He was born September 3, 1937 in Mansfield the son of Lawrence and Gathel Darling
Russell. Howard was a 1955 graduate of Lucas High School and was a member of the Jeromesville
Lutheran Church. He was a major appliance repairman, having worked at the Tappan company for 20
years and also for R&L major appliance. Howard drove school bus for Hillsdale Local
Schools and Headstart, and also sang Baritone for the Trinity Quartet.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Smalley Russell, to whom he was married November 6, 1964, a
daughter, Wendy (Jerry) Miller of Katy, TX, a son, David (Thomas) Russell of Oakland, CA, 2
granddaughters, Ashley Miller of Katy, TX and Lauren (Heath) Robinson of Sulphur Springs, TX, a
brother, Rick (Cathy) Russell of Jeromesville, numerous nieces and nephews and a 1st cousin, Joyce Zimmann.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Pat Russell and Joan Wagner.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday March 11, 2020 at Jeromesville Trinity Lutheran Church with
Pastor Jerry Rhea officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday March 10, 2020 from 6-8 pm at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
