Hazel Irene Drushel, age 92 passed away at Elmcroft in Kingsport, TN on February 27, 2021.
She was born September 16, 1928 in Jeromesville the daughter of Ralph and Mary
Mann Austen.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a devoted homemaker that
enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Hazel was a life-long resident of Jeromesville
until moving to Tennessee in 2015.
She is survived by a son, Steve Drushel (Melanie) of Gray, TN, a granddaughter, Stephanie
Drushel, a sister, Dolores Meng of Jeromesville, a brother, John (Bonnie) Austen of
Jeromesville, and a sister, Judy Newmyer of Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dean, and a daughter, Dianne Drushel.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 6, 2021 at Fickes Funeral Home in
Jeromesville with Rev. Sue Chidley officiating. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
A special thanks to the caregivers at Elmcroft, In Home Care Services, and SunCrest
Hospice.
