Harold Harrison Obituary
Harold E. Harrison, 85 of Jeromesville passed away Monday
May 27, 2019 at Brethren Care Village. He was born
August 10, 1933 in Salt Creek Township (Wayne Co.) the son
of Lawrence and Martha Harmon Harrison. Harold was born
on a farm in Fredricksburg and continued farming with his father
until 1974. Harold then worked for Hess & Clark in Ashland until his retirement. Harold was a quiet,
hardworking man who was dedicated to his family. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as
gardening and caring for his pets. He was a member of the Jeromesville Lions Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Franks Harrison, to whom he was married on October 26, 1952 at
the Methodist Church in Shreve, three children, Karen (Larry) Chandler of Powder Springs, GA, Janet
(Todd) Westfall of Marietta, GA and Dale (Carol) Harrison of Jeromesville, eight grandchildren,
Nathan Baker of Portland, OR, Amy (Billy Friedrich) Baker of Raleigh, NC, Grey (Rebecca) Westfall
of Coronado, CA, Gavin Westfall of Atlanta, GA, Aaron (Candace) Harrison of Ashland, Arica
(Jeremiah) Betson of Jeromesville, Joe Curie of Charlotte, NC and Mindy Curie of Concord, NC,
four great grandchildren, Mallory Betson, Maddox Cox, Harper Harrison and baby boy Harrison
due in October.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
Burial will be in Reedsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Jeromesville Lions Club.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brethren Care for taking care of Dad in his last couple
months of life.
