Gerald Benton Kosht

Gerald Benton Kosht, 94 of Ashland passed away Thursday January 6, 2022 at OhioHealth Mansfield

Hospital. He was born August 22, 1927 in Canton, Ohio the son of Howard and Bertha Marks Kosht.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and worked as a machinist at U-Brand. Gerald was a

member of the Polk Church of Christ.

He is survived by a son, Thomas (Becky) Kosht of Ashland, a daughter, Phyllis (Dan) Kerr of Polk,

seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother, Floyd (Peggy) Kosht of Tennessese, and three

sisters, Corena Stump of Canton, Marlynn Raud of Arizona and Lois Kocheiser of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doris Young Kosht, two sons, David Kosht and

Kenneth Kosht, a brother, Don Kosht and two sisters, Mary Walters and Ina bell Kosht.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday January 12, 2022 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Ed Graves officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery at Hayesville where the Ashland

Honor Guard will conduct military rites.

Friends may call Tuesday January 11, 2022 at Fickes Funeral Home from 6-8 pm.
