Freida Shirlene Zonker, 80 of Ashland passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at UH Samaritan
Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1942 in Ashland County the daughter of Willard and Myrtle
Corbett Hootman. She was a 1960 graduate of Hayesville High School and was a member of the
Lakefork United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Deb (Doug) Schondel of Flower Mound, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ed, Floyd, Clare and Gerald Hootman and
three sisters, Ruth Shank, Evelyn Leybold and Virginia Milligan.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
