Ernest L. Eagle

Ernest L. Eagle, 84, of Jelloway passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024. He was born on April 18, 1940 in Ashland, Ohio to Floyd E. Jr. and Marjorie R. Shreffler Eagle. He was married on January 30, 1967, to Marilyn Kay Ling and would soon celebrate 58 years together.

He attended Jeromesville Schools. He was employed at the Flxible Company, Akron Brass, OTR trucker and retired from Camp McPherson. He was a locksmith for 25 years and a lifemember of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn: a daughter, Dora (Mike) Babbitt of Springfield, Oregon; a son, Tony Eagle of Wooster, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Bodine, Sarah Babbitt, Michael Eagle, Mickey Eagle, Jennifer Eagle, Willard Eagle, and Sabrina Eagle: 2 step-grandchildren, Becky Arnold and Sandy Brown; 11 great-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren, his sister, Opal Coyne of Litchfield, Ohio, Shirley Wilson of Loudonville, Ohio, Sharon Hilson of Mansfield, Ohio, and Marjorie (Philip) Berry of Ashland, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jennie Fern Carpenter Eagle; a son, Anthony Wayne Eagle; a granddaughter, Jeri Lynn Babbitt; and a step-grandson, Michael Dale Sears; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethlyan (Macs) Parsons and Sandy (John) Piatt.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday January 3, 2025 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Ray Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Loudonville Cemetery.
