Donna Arnholt Obituary

DONNA SUE ARNHOLT

John 3:16

For God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. In this verse, Donna found great comfort during her journey with cancer.

Early in the morning on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Donna Sue Arnholt passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ. Born on September 5, 1953, she was the daughter of Don and Louise (Rouch) Weiler and grew up in the village of Rowsburg, Ohio. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1971 and later graduated from Wayne Adult School of Practical Nursing in 1976. She married the love of her life, Paul L. Arnholt on February 19, 1977.

During the early years, Donna worked as a nurse’s aid at Good Shepherd Nursing Home and Brethern Care in Ashland, OH. After receiving her nursing diploma, she worked for many years as an Operating Room Scrub Nurse at People’s Hospital, and the SurgiCenter in Mansfield, OH. She retired from Morrow County Hospital where she worked in the Surgical Department as a Sterile Processor. While at Morrow County Hospital, Donna was instrumental in rewriting protocol and procedures for the sterilization of equipment in operating rooms before surgeries and the decontamination process after surgeries.

Along with the EPA, Donna served her community on the Board for Lincoln Terrace Water Association in Madison Twp., ensuring compliance with clean, potable water standards. She enjoyed many camping trips with her husband and daughter and for several years Donna, along with her two sisters and niece Jessica, sang with the Chorus in the Hayesville Follies. Spending time with her family was always very important to Donna and we all got together as often as possible. We always looked forward to her Baked Beans and she was especially famous for the chocolate turtles that she and her twin sister, Emma, made each Christmas to give to family and friends. Donna also enjoyed hunting for mushrooms in the Spring, working in her flower beds, watching the Blue Birds in her yard, and crocheting; dish clothes, afghans, blankets, and hats were her specialties.

Donna is survived by her husband of 45 years, her daughter Ellie Suzanne Arnholt and her grandson, Ezra James Welden Draz. Survivers also include her twin sister Emma (Tom) Boylan of Willard, her sister Cheryl (Tom) Pate of Rowsburg, her brother Frank (Jill) Weiler of Ashland, nephew Adam Pate of

Cleveland, neices Susan Whitcum of Ashland and Jessica (Brad) Martin of Crestview, FL, along with several great nieces and nephews and lots of cousins.
