Dolores Jean (Austen) Meng

Dolores Jean Meng went home to be with her Lord August 2nd, 2025, one day prior to her 94th

birthday. Dolores was born August 3rd 1931 to Ralph Edward and Mary Della Austen. She was married

to Stanley Leon Meng June 24th, 1949. They were married 71 years and had 3 beautiful daughters,

Sandra, Janet and Lynda. Dolores was a devoted homemaker for Stanley and family. She enjoyed

studying her Bible, cleaning, gardening and antiquing. She was a member of Truth Baptist Church,

Vermillion Baptist Church, and was a charter member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She was a member

of Ash Street Baptist Church at the time of her passing. Dolores and Stanley built 3 houses together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley, daughter Lynda Bartram, sister Hazel

Drushel, brother Tom Austen. She is survived by Sandra O'brien and husband John of Fountain Inn,

South Carolina, Janet Jobe and husband Gary of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Johnny O'brien,

Sarah O'brien, Kristie Lowery, Lisa Bray, David Jobe. 9 Great grandchildren 1 Great great

granddaughter and 1 little boy on the way.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 9, 2025 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with son-in-

law, Gary Jobe officiating.

Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
