Dixie Lou Shorts Rush, 71 of Ashland passed away Wednesday June 24, 2020 at LifeCare Hospice in
Wooster. She was born March 5, 1949 in Ashland the daughter of Jim and Ella Brandon Shorts. She
was a graduate of Ashland High School and a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Varner of Ashland City, TN, two step-sons, Mike Rush of
Ashland and Albert Rush of Fairbanks, Alaska, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a brother,
Jim Shorts of Prescott, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Rush and a son, Scott Dilgard.
There will be no services.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
