Debra Kay Carpenter, age 64, passed away peacefully at her residence Friday on May 22, 2026. She was born in Ashland on August 23, 1961, to Carroll and Marcella Beasley. Debra spent her life devoted to the people she loved most — her family.

Debra was a loving mother to her daughters, Michelle Collum (Ryan) and Melissa (Craig) Austin, and a proud grandmother to Zoey, Presley, Hudson, and Trace. She was also excitedly awaiting the arrival of her unborn great-granddaughter, already holding a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her brothers, Doug Beasley and Dan (Robin) Beasley, along with many family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Debra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Carpenter, and father Carroll Beasley.

Debra worked as a caregiver, a role that reflected her caring heart and selfless nature. She had a deep love for traveling, listening to music, and spending time at the beach, but nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her family. Known for her beautiful smile and wild-at-heart spirit, Debra had a way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed. Truly, to know her was to love her.

Her life was one of love, laughter, strength, and devotion. The memories she created with those she loved will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always. 

Graveside services will be at Vermillion Cemetery Tuesday May 26th at 3:00 pm with Pastor Layton Broome officiating. 

Family and friends may call and visit Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville an hour prior to the service.
