David Joseph Markling

David Joseph Markling, 67 of Jeromesville passed away Tuesday November 8, 2022 at his residence.

He was born August 14, 1955 in Canton, OH the son of James A. and Marilyn (Goetz) Markling Jr.

Dave was a 1973 graduate of Glenwood High School and worked as an excavator for M & G

Excavating and M & G Oil. He was an avid deer hunter and was very knowledgeable about guns. He

was interested in old vehicles and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Dave was always willing to help his

friends and neighbors when they needed something and loved to drink Busch Light. He was a member

of the Sons of the American Legion Jerome Post #749.

He is survived by his loving partner, Sandy Beros, two daughters, Carolyn Markling (Bryan Petry) of

Dayton, and Stephanie (Kyle) Metcalf of Sandusky, two granddaughters, Amelia and Annie Metcalf, a

brother, Tom (Karen) Markling of Wooster, a sister, Jan Markling (Sue Ramsey) of Canton and three

nephews, Shawn Franks, Josh Franks and Zach Franks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Shannon Franks and Stace Franks.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday November 14, 2022 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Sue Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday November 13, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
