Darrell James Coots

Darrell James Coots, 83 of Millersburg passed away Saturday February 7, 2026 at Life Care Hospice in

Wooster. He was born December 23, 1942 in Cromwill, KY the son of Hubert T. and Dorothy Maddox

Coots. He worked at Wooster Brush Company for 36 years in shipping and also for the Wm. Annett

Company in Wooster. Darrell was a member of the Parkview Christian Church in Wooster.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Rutt Coots to whom he was married July 23, 1967, a daughter,

Cynthia Barstow of Wooster, two sons, John (Natalie) Coots of Wooster and Eric (Beth) Coots of

Ashland, four grandchildren, Travis Minnich, Nickolas, Linsey and Everlee Coots, two sisters, Peggy

Spenser of London, KY and Anna Mary Swinehart of Wilcox, AZ and a brother, Mark Coots of

Millersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nelda Sue Coots, a infant brother, Hurbert Coots Jr.

and a son-in-law, Rudy Barstow.

Services will be 11:00 Friday February 13, 2026 at Parkview Christian Church 1912 Burbank Road

Wooster, OH 44691 with Pastor Jeremiah Scadden officiating.

Burial will follow in Reedsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

44691.
