Daniel (Dan) S. Byler
Dan Byler, age 83, passed away at home on Wednesday August 11, 2021 after a short
illness. He was born July 24, 1938, in Wayne Co. to the late Sol and Edith (Miller)
Byler.
Dan attended Big Praire-Lakeville school. He married Esther (Weaver) Byler on July
21, 1973. He enjoyed filling vending machines for 40 years, retiring in 2002 from AVI
in Mansfield.
Dan is survived by his wife, Esther, and sons, Brent (Kristen), Mark (Jillian) and a
daughter, Bethany (Brad) Cunningham. He is also survived by 6 granddaughters,
Tristian Harris, Klarissa and Audrie Byler, and Abigail, Keira and Emily Cunningham,
six step-grandchildren, Quentin, Mavyn, Gavyn (Tasha) Miracle, Asher and Kaleb, one
step great-grandson, Wayne, a nephew, James (Dayana) Wengerd of Florida and a great
nephew, Christopher (Holly) Wengerd of IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Katie, sister, Malinda, an infant
brother and a nephew, Donald Wengerd.
Visiting hours will be Friday August 13th from 5-7pm at Fickes Funeral Home in
Jeromesville. Burial at Reedsburg Cemetery will preceed the memorial service on
Saturday August 14th at Wooster Grace Church at 11:00 AM, with Randy Moomaw
officiating.
