When you are reading this, I will be “On the Road Again” with my Savior.
Charles “Chuck” Paullin, passed away Wednesday March 29, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on May 25, 1951 to John W. and Doris J. (Wachtel) Paullin. He
graduated from West Holmes High School in 1969.
Always involved with driving, hence the “On the Road Again.” His first job was with
Alpine Alpha.
Then with Paullin Milk Cartage. He drove for H & H Equipment which became
United Farm Tools.
Next was a Paullin truck leased to Jones Motors. Through all of this time he was in the Army National
Guard as a firefighter with the 5694th Engineer Detachment Firefighters out of Shreve, Ohio. He served
October 1970 throught October 1994, with an activation for Operation Desert Storm in 1990.
Chuck was a member of the Lakeville United Methodist Church from day one until forever. He was
also a member of the Perrysville VFW and Jeromesville American Legion.
He was a Buckeye, Browns, Indians, Cavs and West Holmes Knights fan. He enjoyed bowling, golf,
softball and mushroom hunting. Chuck was always up for a game of Village Idiot, as well as many
other card games, Mexican Train dominoes and Sequence.
His parents and sister, Janice preceded him in passing.
To carry on with life duties, he leaves his fantastic wife, Lola (Stewart). She has been a true blessing.
Together they enjoyed grandkids, baseball, basketball, football and soccer games.
Surviving are his sisters, Penny Blubaugh of Danville, Jane (Michael) Smith of Loudonville, Dianne
Bell of Wooster, Deb (John) Ridgeway of Radium Springs, New Mexico and Nancy Moore of
Titusville, Florida. His children, Carrie (Mike) Miller, Joe (Amber) Paullin, and Sarah (Kyle) Watkins.
His grandchildren, Kaylie and Drew Miller, Brant and Brynley Paullin, Azlynn, Jaylynn and Willow
Watkins and great grandchild, Waylon Hendershot (Kaylie).
Private graveside services will be held at Lakefork Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
A celebration of life service will Saturday April 29, 2023 at the Lakeville Fire Department
from 4-7 pm.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
