Charles Ronald Hess

Charles Ronald Hess, 81 of Ashland passed away Thursday August 25, 2022 at Liberty Nursing Center

in Mansfield.

He was born July 25, 1941 in Ashland County the son of Howard and Helen Gongwer Hess. Ron was a

1959 graduate of Ashland High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked construction for

Kyler Guardrail and Whitaker Merrill until 1980, then worked for ODOT until retirement. He was a

member of the Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren.

He is survived two sisters, Carol Rogers of Loudonville and Shirley Randall of Allentown, PA and

several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Hess and two sisters, Janice Yeater and Jean

Jordan.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday August 30, 2022 at Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren with

Pastor Jeff Messner officiating. Burial will be in the Dickey Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
