Betty Jean (Weaver) Steigerwalt

Betty Jean Steigerwalt, 96 of Ashland passed away Monday December 1, 2025. She was born March

5, 1929 in Polk the daughter of Earl and Dorthea Aber Weaver. She was a cook at Ashland City

Schools for over 25 years and was a member of the Faith Global Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana (Mark) Crist of Ashland, 4 grandchildren, Timothy Crist,

Jeanette Rogers, Philip Hoverstock and Shannon Crist, 8 great grandchildren and 2 half-brothers, Bob

Weaver and Dick Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Steigerwalt, a daughter, Ellen

Hoverstock, a son-in-law, Doyle Hoverstock, 3 sisters, Ann Schole, Shirley Cook and Marjorie

Weaver, 2 brothers, Donald Weaver and James Weaver, and a half-brother, Bill Weaver.

Memorial services will be 10:30 AM on Saturday December 6, 2025 at Faith Global Methodist

Church 1574 State Route 96 Ashland, OH 44805 with Pastor Philip Hoverstock officiating. There

will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Dickey Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Global Methodist Church.

Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
