Betty June Gault, 84 of Ashland passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
She was born November 20, 1935 in Salem, WV the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Lynch) Coburn.
Betty was employed with National Latex during her younger years and later with Appleseed Orchard
and Buehler’s Fresh Foods. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her
grandchildren’s sporting events. Having a green thumb she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
Betty also enjoyed nature, especially watching the many birds she was able to attract to her feeders.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church.
Betty and her husband, William Gault Sr. were married on November 12, 1963. She is survived by
daughter, Laura (Chris) Stewart of Ashland, step-daughter, Linda Briggs of Ashland, daughter-in-law,
Tabatha Gault of Columbus, 6 grandchildren: Stacey (Scott) Dillard, Michelle (Johnny) Lima, Rebecca
Gault, Meghan (Mac) Coe, Caitlin Gault and Olivia Stewart, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great great
granddaughter, 3 sisters: Mary Coburn, Carole (John) Shearon and Linda Davis and many special
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill on March 24, 2020, son William A. Gault Jr. and
siblings Gene Coburn, Margaret Fitzpatrick, Nellie Harris, Barbara Sutton, Arthur Coburn, Brenda
Riddle as well as several beloved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Betty’s family conveys special appreciation to Pathways Hospice of Ashland, Sunshine Home Health
and Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday June 17, 2020 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with
Pastor Ron Daley officiating. Burial will be in Dickey Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday June 16, 2020 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
