Bertha L. Crist, 96 of Ashland passed away Saturday November 12, 2022 at Brethren Care surrounded

by family. She was born February 7, 1926 in Smithfield, PA the daughter of Albert and Goldie Litman

Miller. Bertha always had lots of friends around her to spend time and talk. She worked at Ashland

City Schools (Bertha’s Booth). She was always a loving person, always wanting to help someone. Her

family, church, friends and crafts were her life. She taught Junior Church at Paradise Hill Church for

over 50 years and loved working with the children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72

years, Donald Crist, a brother, Paul, and two sisters, Mary and Betty.

She is survived by two sons, Donald (Barb) Crist Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida, Mark (Diana) Crist of

Ashland, 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren,1 great great grandson, a sister, Dorothy (Paul) Guzik

of Smithfield, PA and a sister-in-law, Ocie (Paul) Miller of Ashland.

Services will be 12:00 PM Thursday November 17, 2022 at Paradise Hill United Methodist Church

with Pastor Jennifer Whitmore officiating. Burial will be in Imhoff Cemtery.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church on thursday.

The family would like to thank Brethren Care and Kindred Hospice for their great care and

thoughtfulness.
