Barbara Jean Yerian, 86 of Ashland and formerly of Jeromesville passed away Wednesday December
18, 2024 at The Arbors at Mifflin. She was born July 25, 1938 in Ashland County, near Savannah, the
daughter of Walter and Leona Kestner Kaylor. Barb was a 1956 graduate of Savannah High School
and worked as an Inspector for the former Philway Products Company. She was a current member of
the Christ United Methodist Church in Ashland, former member of the Jeromesville Methodist Church
and a member of Ashland Emblem Club, where she was the corresponding secretary the last 10 years.
Barb enjoyed Sudoku, doing crossword puzzles, reading and being with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Steven (Tammie) Chandler of Gainsville, FL and Randall (Deb) Yerian of
Perrysville, a daughter, Laura Beyer of Mt. Vernon, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three
step-daughters, Patricia (Mike) Willis, JoAnn Sullinger and Debbie (Randy) Higgins, a step-son, Ralph
(Deb) Yerian and two sisters, Judy Harlan of Ashland and Linda White of Morehead, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph Yerian on November 2, 2003.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday December 27, 2024 at the Jeromesville Methodist Church with
Pastor Layton Broome officiating. Burial will follow in Jeromesville Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville assisted the family with arrangements.
