William Gene Botdorf, 87 of Ashland died Monday October 31, 2016 at his residence.

He was born September 30, 1929 in Ashland Co. the son of Homer N. and Marcia

McFadden Botdorf.  He was a salesman for Garber's, a member of the Jeromesville

United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of Ashland Masonic Lodge.  Bill

was an avid fisherman and boater, restoring classic wooden boats. Sweet Old Bill

(SOB) loved his family and life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Kubinyi Botdorf, to whom he was married,

November 24, 1949, a son, Tim Botdorf of Jeromesville, two daughters, Jane (Bruce)

Krohn of Marblehead and Tracey (Tom) Bender of Loudonville, 4 grandsons, Billy

(Angie) Flory, Tyler, Dylan and Tristan Bender, a great granddaughter, Ava Flory,

a brother, Mike Hiller and a sister, Holly (Bob) Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Gerald Hiller, a brother,

Jon Hiller and a great grandson, Justin Flory.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday November 5, 2016 at Fickes Funeral Home

in Jeromesville with Pastor Sue Chidley officiating.  Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday November 4, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
