William (Bill) Albert Poeppelman, age 92 of Ashland, Ohio passed away Sunday July 5, 2026. He was born on September 7, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Louis and Hilda Poeppelman (Stang).

Bill grew up in Dayton and attended The University of Dayton where he received his BS in Economics. He served in the Army and the Reserves and worked for Standard Register as an Account Executive until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Ashland. He was an avid card player, enjoyed playing sports, working outside in the yard, cooking, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Bill was a cherished husband to Marilyn (Simon) and Carol Humphrey (both deceased). He is survived/preceded in death by his children Steve deceased (Rose), Sheila Longa (Larry) both deceased, Dan (Peggy), Bob (Linda), and Mike deceased (Sue), and special son-in-law Doug Henry deceased (Mary). Bill was a proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is survived by his stepchildren Kenneth (Monica), Cheryl (Brad), Donna (Jeff) and Darrell (Barbra). He is preceded in death by his siblings Kate (Dick) Arndts, Jenny (Ken) Morrissey, Fr. Paul Poeppelman, Joanne (Tom) Keck. He is survived by his sister Rita (Ron deceased) Vonderhide.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday July 21, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church 508 Center Street in Ashland, OH with Pastor Ben Mollohan officiating. Burial will be in the New Pittsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call 9:30-11:00am prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
